My personal devotion about giving

1 Timothy 6:17-19

King James Version

¹⁷Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

Verse ¹⁷ Rich people in this verse is not only for those who has mansion or powerful people but we can also put ourselves to them. Paul encourage Timothy and to us. As a Christian we should not be proud and not to trust to those things so unreliable. We all know in our generation the robbers can easily steal your money, even in the bank or even inside the house. That's why our trust should be in God alone who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.

Enjoyment is the thing that will last forever and even your the richest person in the whole world you can not but it.


18That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

Verse 18 We always telling to ourselves that I'm so blessed because I'm here in Australia.. I have my own business.. I have job but the thing is.. are we using our resources(our money) for His glory?

Today, I want to share my testimony. When I was a young Christian and working at the same time, I talked with God, I confess because I didn't give my ten percent to the Lord and I feel so guilty because the Holy Spirit was grief because that time, I would rather buy a lot of things which is I didn't realize before that it's only for temporary rather than to give my ten percent for God's Kingdom which is for everlasting. But now, as I growing in my Christian life and by God's grace, God taught me to be a good steward and I always pray that 

 “Lord, make me a blessing.. I want to have a gift of giving and use it for your glory.”

Brother and sister in Christ, let us open our heart to share our blessing to other's. Let us be generous to those in need especially in God's ministry.


¹⁹Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Verse ¹⁹ I want to encourage each of us to invest for eternity. Let us keep treasure in Heaven.

Let us be sincere to give our love offering to God. He didn't look how big you are giving but how big your heart in giving because God loves a cheerful giver.

Heavenly Father, help me to carry my cross each day of my life. Oh God have mercy on me, I can't do this by my own yet, I want to use my cross to climb in the valley of the narrow road. For I know that if I reach you faithfully, You will embrace me and You will tell to me, “My child, come! rest in me, I set a place for You in Heaven that there's no weeping, no hurt nor pain and You will live with me eternity."
